Checklist For Online Study

Checklist – Tools needed to study online

Access to the Internet

Access to the internet is needed to be able to study online. A stable internet connection will be sufficient. The  Internet connection could be wifi or ethernet.  Speak to your local Internet provider for recommendations.

A Computer (recommended)

We recommended using a computer for online learning. Using a computer cannot be overemphasized due to the files’ size being downloaded and saved on your system for future reference. A desktop or laptop will be sufficient, and I suggest a laptop due to mobility. A budget laptop will be adequate to study online, e.g., Acer Aspire laptop, 4GB, I5 Processor, will effectively do the job. The Acer brand of laptops is strong and durable.

Learners can use devices such as Ipads and Tablets.

Headphones

Online students can use a pair of noise cancellation headphones for learning. The headphones help to block out background noise and prevent distraction while learning. There are quite a few noise cancellation headphones to choose from on the market. Different brands have different prices. A pair of budget headphones will do the job, e.g., HP Headphones.

Daily Planner

Set a daily planner on your mobile device, such as your phone. Allocate a particular day and time for learning. The planner will help you to be target driven and up to date with your study plan. Having a study plan is highly rewarding and effective with the online study as it helps to continually remind you of what you should do at a particular time.

Stationery

Having some stationery handy will be useful when studying online. Paper such as a notepad, pens, highlighter is helpful, as you can use them to make notes to refer back to when studying offline. The traditional pen and paper always come in handy.
